Original Fish Market Pittsburgh, PA
This resturant that is located in the Westin Hotel that we found to average and high prices for the quality of food served. Service was also a little spotty. While I had an o.k. meal, my wife's King Crab was way overcooked, served cold, with cold drawn butter.
Grand Concourse Pittsburgh, PA
My wife and I had a wonderful meal in this beautiful resturant. Be sure to ask for a table on the water. Excellent food and service in a wonderful setting.
Sonoma Grille Pittsburgh, PA
This is delightful, friendly, well-run resturant. Has an excellent wine selection by glass or bottle. Has a wonderful mixed grill, paired with inventive sauces and sides, delicious soups and salads, plus a varied desert menu. We also had lunch here one day and it was equally excellent. Reservations are a good idea.
Catfish Place Restaurant Saint Cloud, FL
If real Florida seafood and freshwater items are of interest, then this is place to go. The menu includes gator, catfish, turtle, shrimp, scollops, shrimp, oysters (fried or broiled) with numerous appetizers and sides. All items are fresh and cooked to order. Steak if you want it.Casual and family friendly with large servings, this is the Florida of old. Luch menu and large children's menu.
Bob Heilman's Beachcomber Clearwater Beach, FL
First time back in four years and if anything, the food and services were better. My party of four enjoyed broiled sea scollops, lamb chops and veal picatta (one of the best I have had)Nice array of appetizers and great deserts. Not a flashy place, but good food and service in a pleasant atmosphere.
Columbia Restaurant Clearwater Beach, FL
Great loction. Go early and get a table by the bay. Have both indoor and outdoor tables. Great spanish food. Be sure to have the black bean or Spanish bean soup. Pompano en Papillot is exceptional as are their pork entrees. Service was a little spotty, but generally is excellent. Be sure to have flan for desert. Also has a wonderful bar and is a great place for a beer and Cuban sanwich.
Mert's Heart & Soul Charlotte, NC
Without a doubt, southern food at its very best. Friendly, funky and homey, with no ties needed. We enjoyed fried checken, grilled lamb shops, collard greens, seasoned rice, yams, corn bread and sweetpotato cake for desert. All great and tip only $35.00. Go and enjoy
Mimosa Grill Charlotte, NC
This resturant sits just off the Wacovia Main Plaza and is a light, airy, open resturant with many nice views. The menue is small, but the items are interesting and has something for everyone. My wife and I had She Crab soup (wonderful) and Hushpuppies stuffed with rock shrimp, sausage, and etc. (out of this world). Our entrees were Alaskan Salmon, and Double Pork Chop. Both were cooked just right and were moist and tender. The only down was the cream burlee as it was dry and tastless. The signature desert is the coconut cake and we should have had that. Service was attentive and excellent and would dine there again. They are also open for lunch.
Bistro 100 Charlotte, NC
What a truely delightful evening with excellent service, great atomophere and wonderful food. The P.E.I mussels were tender, cooked just right and there 24 of them. The evening special of filet topped with crab cake was tender and cooked as asked. The creme burlee was a perfect end to meal.
95 Cordova Saint Augustine, FL
It had been a year since I had visited this resturant and I was pleasantly suprised. The atmosphere was much friendlier and service was greatly improved. The escargo was tender and flavorful and served in a unique presentation. The ceaser salad would have fed two persons easily and again was served in a unique style. My wife had the rack of lamb and pronounced it wonderful and I had the double pork chops and they too were outstanding. We shared the cream burle and found it good enough to go back a few nights later for an order for each of us as a late night snack. A great resturant for the special event.
O C White's Seafood & Sprirts Saint Augustine, FL
This resturant in general is very good but I would stick to the fresh seafood, especially shrimp. My wife had the coconut shrimp and they were jumbo, tender and delicious. I had the St. Augustine grouper and while it was flavorful, it was dry and overcooked. The calamari was also good, but before we could eat just a few bites, our clam chowder arrived. We ask the waitress to slow down, but before we would enjoy our soup, the entrees arrived. She was new, but she obviously had not been well trained. Dine indoors of out in a 1888 restored home and look out at the bay. I will go back, but only for the chowder and shrimp.
Dixie Crossroads Titusville, FL
When you want really good seafood fresh and cooked your way then this is the palce to go. There is just not a combination platter you can name that they do not have or will fix up for you. The rock shrimp fried, broiled or steamed are the very best. Their steak menu is also super and pair a steak with some rock shrimp and you are in heaven. Recently remodeled, upgraded and painted this resturant is great for families with lots of rooms and space. Saturday afternoon is a good time to go before the crowds arrive. If you go later in the day, expect to wait, but it is worth it.
Cafe Margaux Cocoa, FL
I found this resturant to have excellent atmosphere, service and food. The menu has been expanded and daily specials are offered as well. My wife had the rack of lamb and I had the veal chop and both were prepared exactally as ordered and were tender and tasty. Portions were generous. We shared the scallop appertizer and it was wonderful as well. There is an excellent wine selection by the glass, half-bottle and bottle. Deserts are to die for. It was a wonderful evening.
Hobnob Brevard, NC
Update: Two years later and the food and service continue to be excellent and of high quality. Definitely and place to dine.
Falls Landing Brevard, NC
Update: Still and enjoyable place for a nice dinner. Food is of high quality, with excellent service. Quantity of servings have gotten smaller as prices have slipped up. Still, it is worth the visit.
Jordon Street Cafe Brevard, NC
Updaate: I would say that this resturant has slipped a bit although menue remains varied and service is top-notch. Seem to have gone overboard on sauces and the sometimes exotic combinations. Still a very nice palce to dine and maybe this was just the week for experminitation. Will try it again.
Wine Cellar Restaurant Saint Petersburg, FL
The Wine Cellar provided a very nice evening for my party of three. We enjoyed oyster rockefeller and the neptune cocktail for appertizers. The oysters were warm and wonderful, and the neputne provided a taste of cold steamed shrimp, crab claw, king crab meat, crawfish and mussels which was tasty, but some was clearly from frozen stock and was somewhat tastless. For entree's we enjoyed chateaubrian ($59.50 for two)which was tender, tasty, served as ordered with an excellent array of vegetables. The wiener schnitzel($18.25) was o.k., but I would not order again. We all shared a creme brulee ($5.75) for desert and it was among the best ever. Service was excellent. A fun place and a very nice evening.
Saltrock Grill Indian Rocks Beach, FL
Open, airy, busy, nosiy, fast paced, and seemed to be geared to the 30 somethings crowd. That being said, the food was good to very good, but service was lacking. Had to beg for bread and water. Appetizers we selected were the calamari (good and cooked correctly, crab stuffed portobella(o.k., but w/o taste) and the PEI Mussels, were wonderful, tender, and seasoned just right. Entrees were filet mignon (8oz) oscar with fresh crab meat and crumbled blue cheese. All were cooked to our specifications, but waiter had them all mixed up as well as our potato selection. We did enjoy our meal but it seemed a bit pricey and if I went again I would go in the 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. range.
Georgios Tallahassee, FL
This is a cozy, friendly resturant with excellent service and a varied menu, although a little on the pricey side. Usually has interesting specials and wonderful deserts. Our party had a veal dish, bacon wrapped shrimp, filet, shrimp and pasta. All were very good, except the bacon wrapped shrimp were served with too much butter sauce, which hurt the excellent shrimp. A very nice evening and will visit again.
Mango Tree Cocoa Beach, FL
This is a very pleasant resturant which has a cozy garden atmosphere. The menu is excellent and the food is well prepared and well served. Our party had rack of lamb, veal in wine sauce, shrimp & pasta, and roasted chicken and all were excellent. Save room for deserts as they have many to select from. The only disappointment was our appertizer of lobster wrapped in bacon---tasty, but overcooked. Reservations are generally a good idea and you will have a wonderful evening.
