Blind Faith Cafe Evanston, IL
Pretty good food, though it's gotten pricier over the years. They offer a good selection of international flavored dishes, with lots of vegan options.
The have a wonderful bakery as well, that turns out the most delicious vegan chocolate cake.
Chicago Diner Chicago, IL
I also go here every visit to Chicago. Really amazing food, decent prices, nice atmosphere. The servers are all very pleasant, large groups of people make the dining experience more enjoyable.
Mandarin Gourmet Cupertino, CA
Amazing Chinese food. This has to be one of my all time favorites.
Nice atmosphere, kinda fancy, but without the pretensiousness.
Excellent service, food comes out quick.
Highly recommended.
Golden Era San Francisco, CA
I have to agree with Mary Lam. Amazing food and you might forget that it's all vegetarian. My meat-eater friends claim that the veggie versions are pretty close to the original ones.
Minako San Francisco, CA
An amazing place for Japanese cuisine. It is run by a mother and daughter team, so the food has a very "homey" feeling, but beats most other Japanese restaurants in terms of quality.
They also offer a huge selection of vegetarian and vegan options, not found in many other Japanese restaurants.
The chef prepares food in phases, so your vegetarian selections are not cooked on the same grill as any meat.
My first time there, I wasn't aware that they offered a vegetarian miso soup (most other Japanese restaurants I've been too use chicken broth). I was pleasantly suprised when they brought me a cup and told me it was vegetarian!
