Our second try with Sapore, the first one did not go so great but figured we saw others around us receive good service and thier dished looked good... So, out for my birthday dinner with my husband we go...We were sat immediately with our reservation, our waiter was new but very friendly. The white paper on our table appeared not to have been changed, there were oil stains from the dipping sauce from the previous diners. The trouble started when our entrees arrived. Both had to be sent back because they were undercooked. When they were returned to the table they were practically burned with char marks all over them. The brie that was on top of my filet orginally was buried under some type of drizzle, under the filet, you would think they would have replaced the tiny piece of brie for presentation sake?? My filet was still somewhat edible, but my husband's steak was completly burned. And our potatoes were cold. We were still hungry because we did not really ea ... more

The dessert was good. At this point we saw the manager/owner(?) and tried to tell him about our experience. He did not let us finish just asked us if we had the "new waiter" and said to one of the servers "dessert is on the house". I am not impressed that we got a $5.00 dessert for free and paid $80 for a meal we could not eat. I feel terrible that my husband kept apologizing all the way home and feels as though he still owes me a "Birthday Dinner" I disagree with the comment above that this is a "high class place" less
