I consider this a great restaurant for the price. I have tried several things on the menu and they are very good. I have yet to try the pizza, but my parents, who now live in Coal City have and say it's wonderful.

This restaurant is a must-frequent for all locals and a haven-oasis for travelers. Because it is connected with a truck stop, I believe many might pass it by. Food is down-home cookin' and very good, atmosphere is charming. I can't wait to go back!!!

Kinda procey in teh main lodge, but the grill is more reasonable and more of a laid back atmosphere. The food is good, the beer is cold, and the service while not great is decent. Considering this is a state park it is pretty good.

This place was packed for lunch on Sunday, but has good food. Everybody I was with liked their meal and got plenty of food. Probably will go back again soon.

Diner atmosphere. It's a little smokey. The food is pretty good and the service is friendly. I felt like everyone in the joint new eachother so people must eat here often. It was packed too so I think they are pretty consistant in quality. I liked it, but not really my style.

I recieved very friendly service once I entered the facility to when I left. the food their was great. Nice size portions for the price. I was please with the service.

The resturant is very surprising considering what it looks like from the outside. On the outside it has a mural of the town on it. On the inside it is warm and inviting. It is done up in a rustic look and the have meals from pasta to mouth watering steaks. I would eat there all the time if I could. The staff is very nice and helpful when you need a question answered.
