If you don't believe small quiet hidden away El Patio has nothing to offer, wrong! The food is the best, and I've ate at all the local fav/s. The place is perferct for the student on the go, next to UNM, affordable, and even a happy hour. But what impressed me was the green chile, only frontier gots hotter green's than El Patio, and the price is the same, so relax with some friends enjoy the cold beer and hot/hott/hottttttt!Green Chile, Sadie's got nothing on the Patio.

The best NM food I've found in the area. Not only are the entrees great but the potatoes and bean side servings are unbelievably good and the sopapillas are light and fluffy. <br> The wine margaritas are also worth trying.

El Patio has been around for years, and that is always a good recommendation in itself. The best "patio" atmosphere of any Mexican restaurant in Albuquerque, except El Pinto...and the food is MUCH better! A very nice place for special dining with a date, or friends. I've never had a bad meal there in the past few years. Sometimes a little wait though. Enjoy a cold beer, and chips with their very good salsa, and the time will fly by.
