I went on vacation to Colorado back in June and had an absolutely wretched experience with my girlfriend here. But Merlino's Belvedere is just one of those tragic examples of a restaurant which gets good press, but you have no idea why. It was absolute dogcrap. And I'm not overstating. That's what the "ground sirloin" tasted like. My girlfriend tried a piece and thought it tasted more like ELK. You're never told that you're charged for EACH drink there until you see the bill. (C'mon, $6 for two Arnold freaking Palmers?!) Plus, the macaroni and cheese is made with BLEU cheese--again, nowhere is that stated on the menu--and the "Italian herbal" marinade for the chicken is nothing more than soy sauce. Awful. One of the worst dining out experiences I've ever had. $42 for horrendous food and minimal service. Stay away.

The average entree is about $20. They have a very good selection. The steaks and Italian food are GREAT! I suggest reservations, but they are not required.

The food is good. Steaks are excellent and the italian food is better than average. The entree price is closer to twenty dollars and the service is about average. A family of four cannot get out of the restaurant for less than $75.

The salad is worth the trip. Best time to go in 12pm Sunday when the first open. The steaks are great and also the fried chicken.
