Mikayla at the Casa Madrona is soon to under go some major changes.
Currently housed in the old Casa Madrona, the "new" Mikalya
is
going to be moved from its current location on the roof to one of
the floors of the "old" Village Fair building, which is
also going
to have new hotel rooms. Only time will tell if the new iteration
is a good as the old food-wise, but the view will be very different.
Let's hold a good thought for the new, while we fondly remember
the old...

The view is spectacular, and the food is excellent. The
halibut was beautifully prepared and presented. Great wine
list, very good desserts.

A nice restaurant with great views of the Bay and San Francisco.
We went for dinner. The food is fairly good.
The NY Strip and salmon dishes were very good but a little too
heavy. The chocolate cake dessert was excellent.
The service, however, was disappointing. One restaurant guide
described it as childish, and I would have to agree. First,
even though the restaurant was not very full, the waiter took
a very long time to come to our table. And, the "bread person"
was clueless. He make multiple trips around the restaurant
giving people bread, but he missed us every time! He walked by
our table so fast I couldn't even stop to ask him for some. I
had to eventually ask the waiter to give us bread.
