Overrated in many areas. First of all they should be really strong on the beer side since their name is "brew house" however beers are just average. Not to mention that they have awful bartenders. Perhaps the guy that was serving at the time was just inexperienced in bartending. It looks like the Brew House has a big problem with their staff. None of them looked happy therefore as a guest I didn't feel welcomed. Bussers were terrible. Every time I told one of them to get away from my food (they were trying to take it away when I was half way done with my food) another one would show up with an intention to pick up my over priced food. I've ordered a "blue plate" special which was basicaly a seafood stew made out of whatever leftover seafood that was about to go bad. I was almost asking for my money back... Real bad experience, bad managament both on the floor and in the kitchen...

I enjoyed the brick oven pizzas, and the atmosphere, but the waiters acted like we were not important enough to be there.

This is an ok place to eat, but I'm not going to go out of my way to return. The food was ok, but thats about all I can say about it.

Overpriced and over-rated. Best commercially prepared salmon I've ever had, served by the snottiest wait-staff I've ever encountered. Suffice it to say I won't go back.

One of the best brewpubs in Anchorage, if not the best. Great pizza and fresh seafood, of course, are served in addtion to the excellent microbrews. If you are a visitor, you have to go here. If you are a local, you probably already have...

My favourite restaurant in Anchorage - I seldom visit the city without having a meal there. It is on the expensive side, and the crowds can make service a little on the slow side at peak times, but the quality of both the food and the beer make it worthwhile. It's a particularly good place to take a lady from out of town who likes both quality and character.

First of all, I love the environment here. It's nice, but still casual enough that you don't have to get overly dressed up. The service is really friendly, although slow sometimes. However, I don't mind the wait here, as it's really comfortable, the tunes are great (both live and recorded), and the beer is even better. They have a good wine list too, and the appetizers and desserts are mostly all good. As for the menu, it doesn't all appeal to me, but there are enough choices to please most any palate. I personally prefer the jambalaya. It's tough to find this dish in Anchorage, and they do a great job of it! (although the shrimp are a little small). Overall a great place for dinner.

While the food is a little pricey, it is excellent and worth it for special occassions. Nice atmosphere, very attentive staff and great beer. The halibut salad is delicious

I was really impressed with this brew house. Yes it is packed...there is a reason. It's a good place to eat and drink. I liked all the beers I tried and the service was acceptable considering it was very busy. My wife enjoyed the duck entree while I stuck with the halibut. Both were prepared to perfection. Our waitress was extremely attentive and efficient. It is a great place to go, but get there early or you will have to wait. Parking in the area is a nightmare.

The food was excellent and the environment was friendly. People were treated with respect from the servers and bussers and the food was to die for. I was impressed by the laid back feeling and the warmth coming off people that were sitting around me.

I like Glacier Brewhouse. Their food is a little expenseive though. They make a good pizza. Their deserts are excellent - I love thier bread pudding. The down side to this restaurant is that in the summer it is jammed packed with tourists and the wait can be up to 1 hour or more. You may even have to wait if you have a reservation, but only in the summer.

The have some of the best hot wings (buffalo style) in the country and I've had plenty. The rest of the menu is hit and miss, with the more you spend = the better the taste. Beer is good and brewed on site but quite expensive. The bar personnel are the most impersonal I've ever met, boring, aloof, bordering on rude, I seen one particular bartender ask a patron to leave after his 3rd beer and he had eaten a meal. I think the young bartender was trying to impress the female customers. Sorry bub, your working, not there to pick up. Management needs to get control over their employees, some are great and some are bums but you can't count on who will serve you. I love the location and the wide open atmosphere but just can't get into returning. People skills need improvement. Lack of parking hurts too.

Your little bar is very romentic for pairs, I often go to your bar with my girlfriend. If you provide more dishes, for the beer, it will make the beer more tasty.
