This is the best on this side of town. I rate it up there with Huck's at Ray Roberts without the long drive. The food and service are great and the people of Allen, well you know the people of Allen. But that not withstanding, I believe you should give it a try and bring your own coke if you must have it. Gumbo, well let's just say that gumbo outside of a 100 mile radius of Bon Secour is just a warm soup to try before your meal. Open your mind, slide up to Allen and let the fish sell the place for itself. Also, if the lady, about fifty, with the white sweater and really tight jeans who left on the Dyna would like to meet for a drink, please give me a ring and let's get to drinking. The tea is fair.

If you have even the most basic knowledge of what "gumbo" is supposed to be, then steer VERY, VERY clear of the stuff they serve if you were to order it. It can only be recommended to the very unknowing or the very sadistic!! Stick to the catfish if you are forced to go...with an Iced Tea. If Pepsi is where the crowd is, it's because of the same mentality that brings us on-looker traffic , fascinations with burning buildings, and FOX network programming.

Excellent food, very reasonable! Service outstanding and yepper guys they got Pepsi, the only cola!!! That's what put it to 5 stars for me, if you like good food and a great cola this is the place to go! Pepsi and great food!

Catfish was excellent. If you don't mind Pepsi instead of Coca Cola, you should enjoy this local place. However, since I like coke with my catfish, I probably won't frequent it as much as I would like. I have been known to not return to some restaurants that have Pepsi only, but this one rates a return. Have a glass of tea.
