Louis...Louis...Louis!!!!!! The best ever basque bar I have gone to...Delicious food, great drinks and above all "BEST ENVIRONIMENT". it feels really good to sip drinks at Louis...especially the PICON PUNCHES. They will knock you down but one of the best cocktails ever!!!!!!.

I moved top Chicago...bvut looking forward to get back to Reno and waiting to sip PICON.... My best bar in US>>>>>>>Louis Basque Corner, Reno, NV

Atmospshere was nice with family style settings (long tables that seat 10 or more. I tried the Pinon drink and it tasted some what like Cream Sherry, but not as heavy. The four course dinner was served with the common bowl salad and bread first. Very good. Next came the split peas soup and cow tongue. They were very tasty (split pea better than Anderson's). Bread was very good. However, the main dishes (steak for wife and lamb chops for me) were awful. Both dishes were over salted/seasoned. My thick chops had to be returned before I taste them because they were blood running rare (I asked for medium well). Upon return I cut off a piece and tried it (still too rare) and it was also salted so much that I could not eat any of it. Envision eating salted anchovies! We returned both entries and the waitress did nothing except lower our bill a few dollars. Not vey good for a $29 apiece dinner. Very bad experience for first time going there. We were also the first served that day. Dean and Diane Chaney Reno

For a great meal at an affordable price go here. With a "family style" type of eating that resembles your Grandmothers table more than a Chinese restaurant. Parking was tough but not as bad as some of the bigger cities. Atmosphere was little less than I expected. I will go back and I will tell my friends to go.

I use "Unknown" for the entree price because it really varies depending on the set up you want and the number of people in your party. If you are planning to take a large group of people out to eat, this has the perfect set up and the food is great. If you haven't experienced Basque style service it's great just for the culture. You'll be surprized. The atmosphere is pretty drab and it feels alot like sitting in a school cafeteria. The parking is horrid too which is why I do not give the restaurant a higher rating.
