I recently spent 3 weeks in the Amerisuites next to Ralphs, I got to know all of the staff and have eaten EVERY item on the menu. I have not found 1 item that was not worth its price.

The hush puppies they bring you (instead of bread) are the best. The fried sheimp is great. This is the scary pink building on Blubonnet road across from the Mall of La. Great food and a Baton Rouge tradition.

Overall it is pretty good seafood, but it seems that the quality has gone down in recently. There are better bargains in town, as the food is somewhat overpriced for the quality.

Ralph and Kacoos has been a Louisiana favorite for many years. This is primarily a seafood restaurant, but with a few extras. You will find fried and baked fish, shrimp, oysters and crabs. There are also poboys sandwiches which are pretty good.

Top of the line seafood here, many dishes with the cajun flavor...spicy!! <br> Full menu here of seafood cooked in different ways, and several cajun dishes. <br> Servings are adequate, food is great. <br> Atmosphere is very good. You can dine here with family and friends and have a good time and also come for a quiet dinner for two. <br> Dining room is very clean, no slack here. I haven't been to Ralph's lately (1 year)but if they haven't changed their ways then it is not good! Piccadilly bought the locally owned restaurant and turned it into a "cafe" in food quality. Used to love the Mahi-Mahi with Crawfish 'Touffe not etouffe, but of course they no longer serve that unless you pay extra.
