This is an excellent casual restaurant. It is on one of the main
streets in Keller, Texas and is easy to locate. There is a lot of
parking in very non-standard areas.
The main theme is barbeque but there are other excellent Tex-Mex
and other American offerings. I have had their barbeque ribs
and brisket. They were well prepared and serve a delicious barbeque
sauce with it. Portions are hearty and leave the diner very satisfied.
They have an excellent Texas chili with jalapenas and good sized
chunks of meat. I really enjoyed every meal I've had there and
plan to go back at least monthly.
With the relatively close proximity of Keller to the Texas Motor
Speedway, the decorations are decidedly Nascar. Often, when
racing teams are at the track for races, testing, or schools,
they will visit Up n Smoke at lunch and supper.
If you want to relax, have a great meal and walk away full at a reasonable
price while enjoying some good Texas hospitality, this is a great
place to go.
