Capri what can i say you ask anyone and they will tell you it is one of the best fine dinning italian restaurents in the chicago land area. Lot's of people thought they have closed down but thats not true they moved down the street to 2225 w north ave melrose park the entrance is on the east side of the buliding everythign here is outstanding and if you want a night of fun and a great enviorment and excellent food come to capri you wont regret it

One of the best Italian Restaurants in and around Melrose Park. The food and service was OUTSTANDING. Having traveled all over the world their preperation of seafood is by far the best you will find around, not to mention their other authentic Italian dishes. You must know that the have moved to Melrose Park, a lot of people think that they closed up but that is not true. They built a beautiful new location 2225 W. North ave, Melrose...the enterance is on the east side of the building, it was a little hard for me to find at first, so I don't want anyone else to miss out on this wonderful dining experiance!!!

My extended family is from Italy, and all agree this is one of the finer Italian Restaurants in the Chicago land area. They have entertainment on weekend evenings. The Pizzeria in the front of the building is closed.

WELL SINCE THAT LAST REVIEW IN 2001 A LOT HAS CHANGED FOR CAPRI, EVEN THOUGH I STRONGLY DISAGREE WITH THE COMMENTS MADE, HERE IS A 2005 UPDATE. THE RESTAUANT HAS JUST MOVED TO MELROSE PARK IN A BEAUTIFUL NEW LOCATION. THEIR FOOD AND SERVICE IS BY FAR THE BEST AROUND. THE NEW LOCATION IS DOUBLE THE SIZE OF THE OLD NORTHLAKE PLACE AND THEY ADDED A PIZZERIA IN FRONT OF THE RESTAURANT AND A BANQUET/PARTY ROOM AT THE OTHER END. Italian restaurant that is an offshoot of the Capri in Berwyn. Smallish dining room, often crowded. Tables are placed too close together and the noise level often makes conversation impossible. Definitely not the place for a quiet, romantic dinner! The last time I was here there were strolling musicians which raised the noise level even more. Food quality was acceptable but not outstanding.
