AWFUL! runny, pasty, tasteless gray beans served with tastless, food with less personality. Presentation is like slops for the hogs....all runny. Chicken in the Mole was hard and somehow cut into tiny cubes...odd! The Mole sauce was so sweet, it was inedible. Because I was hungry, I ate the chips and the chicken....but the chips were greasy and the chicken lukewarm and tasteless. We live close by and have tired to like this place....tonight was the LAST time we will attempt it....AND I am telling the world how terrible the food is.....and it isn't reasonably priced.

The best Mexican restaurant in Santa Cruz. When I lived in Santa Cruz I ate here at least once a week. They have a large selection to choose from. The portions are big, the prices are just right and always friendly service. The cheese enchiladas are my favorite. I highly recommend this place!

This is a classic Mexican restaurant, perhaps a little on the upscale side because of its very nice decor, better than average service and, especially, its very comprehensive menu.In addition to the standard tacos, tostados, and combo plates featuring standard Mexican plates, you can also get birria (generally, bar-b-q, but here made classically, with goat--and it's teriffic), menudo every day of the week (although they don't open until 11 a.m., so you can't get it for early breakfast), several shrimp (camarones) dishes, "swiss" enchiladas, mole' dishes, and so forth. The quality is well above average, the prices reasonable for the quality of the food and the generous portions. This is a restaurant that is specially good, I think, when you want something a little out of the ordinary and when the occasion calls for something special. It's so solid and so wide-ranging that one can go here numerous times.
