We make sure when we are in Florida( twice a year) we go to Skips a few times in the week. The clam chowder is the best around and their lobster tails are the sweetest I've had. They are very friendly and make you feel like you are part of the area. The only negative thing I could say is that they are Steelers fans. Gooo Browns.

We travel to southwest FLA on a regular basis (from Canada). We've tried MANY "fresh" Florida seafood locations from Tampa to Miami. This place is one of the best. Typical Florida service and atmosphere, with ABOVE average food. The crispy/crunchy Grouper sandwich is excellent and the chowder is very good. We just hope that they never sell out to make space for development.

We loved this place! The seafood was fresh with anything you'd want. The staff was friendly and the beer was cold. When I read that there was only plastic silverware, I knew it was the kind of place we would have to visit. I just wish we'd tried it sooner so we could have eaten at Skip's more often on our visit to Ft. Myers.
