My favorite Sunday morning breakfast dive. Every once in awhile I get
to pick up a City, County or State cop's tab ('cause I like cops-they
do a dirty job without any credit- ok?) while I sit with 20 or 30 of my closest
friends.....couldn't they take out just a table or two?
If you like yor eggs with cold unbuttered toast Anita's is Nirvana
for you. And the hash browns are completely tasteless and usually cold.
The bacon seems to be deep fried, not cooked in a pan or on the grille and
the coffee is wretched.
Why do I like this place?
Where else can you go other than IHOP for breakfast in Fairfax County?
Don't even mention Tastee29 which I despise for persoanl reasons-
my Jag was "keyed" in an obvious temper tantrum brought
on by auto envy by some redneck that didn't care that I got there
first and "stole" his parking spot.
So I choose Anitas because....well, because it's ...there.

Best Mexican food in the DC area. Anita's is one of my favorite
restaurants; delicious food at all locations. Try the taquitos
con queso -- they're the best! The staff is always friendly
and attentive, but never obtrusive. Highly recommended!

Actually, this is not "Mexican food", it is "New
Mexico-style Mexican food." For those of you who have lived
in New Mexico, you will know what I'm talking about. This
branch of the Anita's chain has its own charm, to include
an outdoor patio section. Order the chile con queso as an appetizer.
The shredded beef is excellent here, as are the nice list of burritos,
entree salads, and combination dishes. For breakfast, try the
enchiladas topped with red chile sauce and a fried egg. Other
breakfast options also include the traditional American breakfasts
of steak and eggs, bacon and pancakes. For those watching their
budgets very closely, Anita's also has a very nice set of
carry-out options for mostly less than $2 per item, available
most days before 4PM. The breakfast burrito is satisfying and
inexpensive so you can eat it on the go. Usually you will see a table
full of Fairfax County's finest, and they always know where
to get ...

You call this Mexican food. Even Taco Bell tastes more authentic.
Maybe it’s because I used to live in the southwest and know what
real Mexican food tastes like. At any rate if you’re looking
for dressed up American food go here.

One of my favorite mexican restaurants! The service is always
good, the food always great! And the staff is always very friendly
when I stop in to pick up a to-go order on the way home from work.
And I love that it's a LOCAL chain, not some bland mega-chain (like
Don Pablo's, Chi-Chi's and the like).

This place is a mecca for locals. The food is very good, though
I have to say that it used to be consistently excellent before
when "Anita" was more involved in the day to day operations. With
the expansion into several branches, the quality has been diluted
somewhat.... but the food is still head and tails above all other
Mexican operations nearby.
