I love this place. You are greeted at the door with a smile. The pulled pork sandwich and fries are better than anywhere! Hey, come on, it's a beach town and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. Coconut shrimp is awesome. Alex's was just named "Best Business of the Year for 2006!" Harry just recently purchased this business and has made numberous upgrades so you might want to give it a try again! I have never stuck to the seat!

I have often felt that it is very hard to botch barbecue food; yet I am amazed how many overrated BBQ restaurants I find that have really poor BBQ. This is a really poor BBQ restaurant, located right off the Highway in Pismo Beach. The facilities need to be condemmed, bulldozed and nuked. It has all the charm of a 1950s era truck stop coffee shop which still has not been cleaned in 51 years. Separate bar area. AVOID.

I think it is in a good lokation but the restront needs some work. The food is not the best inless you get thier rib. Thier bar is were all the local alcholic go and is not alway the hapening place to be.

Totally overrated restaurant - particularly with Mo's BBQ only minutes away now. Has a "redlight lounge" atmosphere and the bonus is that you stick to the seat when you try to leave. Someday they will finally fix the neon light sign out front.
