Charming old world restaurant with lots of warmth and a polished, attentive
wait-staff. Food was disappointing. I had a sole dish that was over-cooked
with a tough, doughy crust (probably dredged & floured well in
advance of cooking allowing glutens to form). The soup could have been
from a red and white can and the side dishes were bland. This restaurant
is not inexpensive. With so many other things going for it, it's
unfortunate that the cuisine doesn't justify the cost.

I have practically grown up with this fabulous place....my parents
were some of Bill's first customers and we have enjoyed it immensely
since! Impecabble service, outstanding food and wonderful ambiance
all contribute to many enjoyable evenings! NOT a part of any chain,
this is Bill's place, exclusively!

Great quality. Not part of a chain, despite previous reviews. Owner
established the restaurant around 1971. Excellent beef, great seafood.
Great wine list. Bartenders pour great drinks. For us, this is a special
treat place, but it doesn't stop us from trying to go once per month.
Corkage fee is very fair.

Good quality but just average restaurant. Part of a chain of family
restuarants which includes the 94th Aero Squadron in the San Fernando
Valley.
Nieuport 17 has a world war I theme and aviation theme.

Continental dining at its finest in one of the more unusual places.
Located at the tip of a small shopping center. Excellent food,
intimate and luxurious. Well worth the price

Another landmark restaurant that was originally located on 17th street
in Santa Ana; the original was old, dumpy, dark dinnerhouse but I used to love
to go there for lunch to order their Louie Salad (shrimp were huge and tasty)
and the price was always right. Now they have moved to Tustin and do not EVEN
resemble their old haunts. But - oh - is their food wonderful and worth every
penny. Pricey but a good place to go to create a memorable occasion!
