Hong Kong Restaurant

I can't rave enough about this restaurant. I have frequented it for at least 10 years now, and have never left disappointed! The owners are a wonderful couple, and the wife is very personable. As another reviewer stated, she really does her best to learn her customers and remembers what they order, and she always takes time out to talk to us. (Once when I was there, at a time when she was taking a maternity leave, I noticed that every single person that walked in would ask about her and the baby - everyone just loves her!) My favorite is the "Bo Bo Tray", which comes in a round wooden compartmented bowl with an iron grill that sits in the middle. It smells SO good to sit there and "barbecue" (heat) the meats on the little sterno-fueled little grill. BBQ boneless pork and pork ribs, fried shrimp, beef teriyaki, shrimp toast, an egg roll and a shrimp roll, and the prices are great for your wallet! The lady sees us, knows automatically what we want, and the food takes about 5 minutes to arrive, maybe 10 if they are very busy. The waitress is attentive. It's not a large place, so it's cozy, and it doesn't matter how you are dressed, you will fit right in.
We LOVE the Hong Kong Restaurant, because it's consistently delicious food at a great price. Even if it weren't so cheap, it would still be a bargain, because personal service like this is not something I come across very often, and makes it stand out as a special little place that their regulars love. less
