Mattoon is a town of less then 20, 000 but it has four Chinese restaurants. Hunan is the best. I can't tell you the average price of an entry as it has been probably at least 15 years since we have ordered off the menu. My wife and I eat at Hunan's probably once a month. Their egg drop soup is the best of any of the probably 25 or 30 Chinese restaurants we have visited. <br> If you visit Mattoon and like Chinese food, stop for lunch or dinner at Hunan's.

This has to be on of the best chinese restuarants that I havre evr been too. The prices were fair and the service was great. I would recommend it to anyone.

Very good chinese buffet. Very reasonbly priced. Of all the chinese in the area, no doubt my personal favorite. Service is fabulous. Careful to watch out for the secretly disguised potato fillers in the mandarin chicken though.

The Hunan always has an excellent quality buffet. I've never ordered off the menu, because the buffet is always sufficient. It always tastes great.

Food quality is consistent, always the best chinese, we use it to compare other foods by, ie "it's not as good as Hunan", prices reasonable, great buffet
