By far, Shealy's Bar-B-Q is the best bbq establishment I have visited.
Though we live at the opposite end of the country, we spend our summers
in SC at our nearby summer lake home. Shealy's is one of the first
"must go to" stops every year when we arrive in SC. The family
atmosphere only serves to enhance and compliment the outstanding
food served there. I make a point to visit with Mrs Shealy each time we
visit. She has turned the day to day operations of the establishment
over to her son, but works the register and maintains a matronly southern-charm
presence there. She brings a sense of southern hospitality and warmth
not found in alot of eateries out west.
If you are looking for true southern charm, and great food, make Shealy's
part of your dining experience!!!!

This is the best tasting bar-b-que of all times. Keep up the good work
Shealy's. We traveled all the way from Tennessee to get some of
this great tasting bar-b-que.

I had your dinner at the Ponderosa last week and I want your recipe for
creamed corn as it was the best I have ever had.

Everything is excellent. I make this my second stop when I come home
to S.C. and the last stop before we get back on the road to come home.

I grew up in Leesville and the only thing out-of-towners know
us for is this place. I LOVE the food there...sepecially the hash
and rice, green beans, and cream corn. If you don;t like this place
you must be ayankee!

If you like a mustard based BBQ then this is your place. I liked
the moistness of the BBQ meat. The overall meal was good but I wouldnt
make a special trip to go again.

Country cookin, what image does that imply to you? Thats how you'll
feel about Shealy's. You'll either like it or not. Green
beans, fried chicken, bbq, hash, corn all a heart surgeons delight.
Most of the regulars at Shealy's are overweight and out of
shape. The food is tasty and bad for you. Grease and cholesterol
are the special of the day. But even those that try and eat healthy
a good ole heaping plate of some tasty Q is ok every now and again.

Except for being greasy I do not know why anyone could possibly
have a problem with it! It is without a doubt the best BBQ in this
state. Yes it is crowded, because it is just good! Not only do they
have good BBQ but the fried chicken, fried livers, and gizzards
or something to behold! It does not matter what you think about
BBQ the experience is worth the price and wait! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!

Great Bar-b-Q with both regular type and vinigar based. The sides
are excellent, with the all you can eat buffet going on the entire
time they are open. It is always crowded, but if you have the time
it is worth the wait.
