I have been a regular customer at Jake's diner for many years. The waitresses and cooks have treated me and many others like me that we are just one big family. You walk in and before you sit down at the famous counter or table even...you are served your favorite beverage with a big cheerfull goodmorning etc..look up and the cooks are already preparing your meal.(just the way you like it) I want to send these good people all the best on their new adventure in their new restaurant and brand new location. I for one along with my family and friends will support Jake's and wish them all the best of luck.

This is the most friendly home away from home restaurant you will ever find. The waitresses will go out of their way to please you and the cooks do an outstanding job cooking many different food orders anything from eggs over easy to steak well done and everything in between, breakfast, lunch and dinner any time of day 5am -10pm 7 day's a week. Especially on any busy weekend when the diner is completely full and still large groups of people waiting with their names on a waiting list because they know this is the place to come for good food lots of it and good friendly service.Or drop in around dawn any morning and have a good time laughing along with some of the early morning regulars. You will be sure to make new friends instantly. The friends and company you make here are worth checking this diner out the food even better, and now Jake's is under new and improved ownership along with a new professional/kitchen baker...wow, this place just gets better and better. ... more

For a truck stop this is one of the best for the big portions of food you get. Service is generally good along with the food.

Dear Lord. I have never seen such huge portions in all my life. And highly affordable, too! Don't let the "truck stop" fool you, this is actually a very nice little restaurant that captures a true Americana feel, and is considered a highlight of any visit to Bend. Breakfast is highly recommended.

Great Big Portions, good food and price. You won't be leaving here hungry at all. The Staff were nice, and friendly. Along with a restuarant, with this being a truck stop- there's a store attached, and a gas station. So you are sure to get every thing you need before you hit the road again. During the day it can be busy, but at Night there's no problems. Become a regular here and you'll here some good stories and meet lot's of people. There's a lot going on, so pull your self up at the counter or table and sit and stay for a while.

Well, good buddy, if its food you want, get ready to pack it in. This truck stop is everything it sets out to be. Good food, huge quanities, fair price and waitresses that can do a pretty fair "give or take" with the heartiest of truckers. A throw back to a past era. Go and have some fun.

This place is a strange cross between a truck stop and a family restaurant like denny's. They have huge, gut-splitting portions of standard american faire at normal fam-restaurant prices. It's a great place for breakfast, as their hash browns could easily strangle a beefalo--they're that big. They remodeled the place about five or six years ago, hiding the true "truck-stop" nature of the dining area and giving it a real restaurant feel.

You want a truckers heaven then this is your place. They serve that wonderful ole time food. The wait staff is excellent, the food is good and not to expensive. The average weekend you will find this place booked, waiting room only. Great breakfast...... Try the chicken fried steak.....
