This was such and awesome experience, we had great food and got to watch
the guy make a volcano on the table as we ate.

I've been eating here for over 20years. Shogun used to be the only
Japanese place in town. Since they moved from 51st and Harvard (where
Osaka is now) to Memorial they have gone downhill. ESPECIALLY the hostess!
She has been rude to me, my family, and my friends. Because of this we
have black-balled Shogun for the past 5 or more years and have been going
to Tokyo Garden and Osaka. Today is my 11 yr olds birthday and he has requested
we go to Shogun. Because of this we're giving them another chance.
We'll see what happens!
My opinion: Tokyo and Osaka's food is not QUITE what Shoguns is
but you won't get treated like a second class citizen like you possibly
will at Shogun!

Owner/hostess extremely RUDE! She kicked us out of her restaurant
on Valentine's Day which also happenned to be my daughters ninth
birthday. We were 2 minutes late and AFTER we were seated decided we
needed to leave. My daughter was crying and people in the restaurant
got very upset. She ended up letting us stay. The wait staff was fabulous
in apologizing and reassuring my daughter. They said she has done it
before and is crazy. Other patrons in the restaurant could not believe
what had been done and will never go there again. We have gone to Shogun
every year for my daughters birthday. It is to bad the tradition is over.
The new owner never apologized to us and made a rude comment as we were
leaving.

Shogun has to be one of my top three favorite restaurants. The
food is excellent, and the chefs put on a great show. I am always
stuffed when I leave. It is a bit expensive, but well worth it.

Your experience will vary depending on the experience of your
server. Overall, though, we've always enjoyed it. Food
is obviously quite fresh and tasty. I'd hard to pick a favorite,
but I'd probably choose the scallops or perhaps the salmon.
A bit expensive, but I'd rather overpay here where we'll
have some entertainment than somewhere where you're paying
more just for the dim lights.

THe food is excellent and the show is great. It's a little
pricey but for special occasions it is a great place.

I've eaten several meals Shogun over the past year. I've had great
experiences each time. Yes, sometimes the show varies but the
food has always been excellent!

Excellent restaurant when you have a party of up to 8 -- great entertainment
and excellent food. The service isn't always the best, but the
food is well worth the $$. Always a fun experience. My only complaint
is that you will go away smelling like a barbeque!
