Too bad the service isn't as good as the food. I've frequented this establishment since I was a child, but would suggest the restaurant on Gage as the service at this location leaves ALOT to be desired. Most who work there, and I can only speak for the evening hours, act as though you're you are inconviencing them just by ordering and they don't even have to bring your order to your table. If you can overlook the unhospitable service, the food is very good.

They have very good BBQ. My son loves the combo plate, that has a sandwich and fries. Me and my husband love their rib tips. The rib tip special comes with rib tips and french fries. However, there isn't that much meat on the special. So, we usually get the pound of tips. The problem with this is that there are NO french fries with it. And, their french fries are a little high, but you can get a whole plate of them. They also sell the BBQ sauce in bottles. This is nice, because you can buy the sauce and take your left overs home and you have their sauce to use with them. Their sandwiches leave a little to be desired. There isn't that much meat in them. They are also plain, but, they are good, as long as you know what to expect.
