Arde’s is a really special find just outside Joplin in Redding’s
Mills, MO. Joplin is a city with representatives of every middle-class
restaurant chain known to man but it’s well worth a short drive out
of town to this delightful fine dining restaurant in an historic Mediterranean-style
bath house from the days when this part of Missouri was a resort area
famous for its springs. I started with the warm spinach salad, followed
by the Chilean sea bass and finished with the chocolate mint pie. All
were perfectly prepared and professionally served. Yes, you will
pay more than at a chain but Arde’s prices are still reasonable. (If
you’re from certain parts of the country they’re a positive bargain!)
Don’t miss this very special place.

Fine dining in a great atmosphere. You had better make reservations
and be prepared to pay the bill. The cuisine is what you would expect
in a fine dining establishment and a pleasure to return to.
