GREAT STEAK everyone knows you go to prime to cook your own steak, if you dont want to, then dont go to prime. prime has a great selection of steaks and real tender. it is alot of fun to stand and chat with your party while grilling, and a great chance to talk with others about grilling too. i have been here a few times and always a great meal.

Yes, you grill the steak yourself, but the cost benefits are soooo worth it. You have an amazing and large selection of cuts to choose from and, with the right company, this makes for a really nice night out. If you compare the meal you have here, excluding your labor, with the meal you get a full service upscale steakhouse (Morton's, etc.) then the benefit is obvious. I don't reccommend the atmosphere, however...it's a bit too "family style" or hotel-ish. The sides are excellent, however.

Why go out to cook your own steak. Not an idea for family eating. But a great time on a busniess trip. Nice bar for drinks and the ability to stand around cooking with other travelers can aid the stress of being on the road and not having a home cooked meal. I will go to them but not when at home.

This is a very excellent Steak place!! You get to grill your own steak, and the selection of steaks you get to pick from is awesome. I enjoy the feature of spliting a steak as well, because then you can enjoy more of their great salad bar, and all of the texas toast that you want to make. One of the best steak places in Madison.

I loved this place. A great way to go. You can even start up a casual conversation with other guests and learn about 'what's happening in and arround Madison' while cooking your own steak. The meat is excellent and the trimmings are on target. The best bonus is the friendly and helpful staff who are just available enough to cater to any special needs.

did not enjoy the food and felt disgusted with the idea of cooking my own steak. It was my sister's birthday and she suggested the resturant. I did not enjoy my visit and I will not return.
