Very good destination restaurant, as Plainwell is a small town north of Kalamazoo. Very adventurous, carefully prepared food, that you would not expect in a town like this. The Cafe is also tied to a British/Indian pub that serves excellent British/Indian cuisine in an Imperial British atmosphere, complete with roving musicians. Service can be hit or miss, though. Great beer and wine, at both locations.

The food is very good, but it is a small place and there are not very many seats so it is hard to get a table. Reservations should be made.

The chef frequently creates new, gourmet dinner ideas so there is always something different to try at each visit! Desserts are "to die for". Excellent food, small town atmosphere. Famous throughout Michigan.
