One of the best evenly priced resturants in the city nice wine list,
and a little for every taste on the menu.

This is, by far, our favorite local restaurant, and a favorite
of many in Columbus. It is privately owned and there are now "sister"
restaurants in Dublin, Cleveland, and Cincinnati. We've been
to three of them, but this one is the best, both for service and
ambiance. Hyde Parks "claim to fame" is definately their steaks.
There are several entrees to choose from with various cuts, and
this restaurant names their steaks after local sports heros
(such as the "Steak Kosar"). The waitor or waitress also brings
raw cuts of meat to the table and explains them to first timers.
You can order a special cut of meat and are not restricted to the
menu. Hyde Park has several rooms decorated uniquely for a more
private and intimate feeling. We like sitting near a fire place
in the winter months. They also have a fabulous selection of wine.
Our favorite appetiser is the "Blackened Scallops". I wish I
could identify some of the ingredients in the hopes of copying
this recipe, but they are unbelievable. After dinner, we always
go to the bar area where local jazz musicians routinely perform.
My husband also enjoys smoking a cigar after dinner and this is
the place to do that. We go to Hyde Park for special occassions,
to entertain business associates, to treat visiting family
members, or to celebrate anything we can make up for an excuse
to eat here!
