An old school drive-in, the Root Beer Stand is the place to go to get a chili dog and some excellent home-made root beer. <br> The thing I like about their chili dogs is that it's not your typical Cincinnati-style chili that is found all over town. It's a thicker, not-so-sweet, meaty chili sauce like you might make at home. They make real honest-to-goodness chili replete with beans. Now don't get me wrong, I like Skyline, Gold Star, etc. But sometimes you need some chili that you can only find in other cities. Their burgers are good, too. Try a burger topped with chili, washed down with a large cup of ice-cold root beer. It don't get much better than that. <br> The only downside is that they're closed during the winter months, so make sure you take advantage of the Root Beer Stand when they're open.

The rootbeer is excellent, the best taste around. They also have great chili dogs. If you are planning to go it is a seasonal restaurant that is closed for the winter.

This place is great to bring the kids to or stop and have a quick lunch. It has great hot dogs and root bear floats. I like to stop there when ever I can. I reccomend everyone to stop there whenever you've got a free lunch or just need a new place to go. I know you'll enjoy it

One of my favorite restaurants!!!! The brew their own root bear and are the best foot longs around! The hats all over the ceiling and the toys for the kids to play with are a great addition to this small stop. The price is fair. The only thing I don't like - they aren't open all year!!! RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE!!!!!
