This place has been a fixture in downtown Cincinnati for decades.
My father went here and now, I do too! They stick to what they do
best....great sandwiches with fresh ingredients. Fantastic,
homemade soups, friendly wait staff and quick service. I disagree
with the comment below about avoiding the Fox at lunch time. Even
though it looks busy, you rarely wait more than 5 minutes. This
is a Cincinnati institution and you simply can't go wrong.
If you are in downtown Cincinnati and looking for a delicious
sandwich, the Red Fox Grill is #1.

A Cincinnati favorite. Basic foods, reasonable prices, and
good service. Not a place to impress a date or clients, but a good
place for lunch with friends.

The Red Fox is a breakfast and lunch only restaurant in Downtown
Cincinnati. There is nothing especially compelling about the
place. They serve Cincinnati's ubiquitous double-decker
sandwiches, which every hash-house in the Tristate does as well.
The sandwiches are piled high with meat, but no better or worse
than say, Red Squirrel. They feature a few other plate lunch specials,
which you can probably guess what they are. They're located
across the street from Procter & Gamble's headquarters,
so avoid going there between 12 annd 1 at all costs.

Hey, if what you want is a huge sandwich at lunch time this is the
place. Be prepared for big crowds of office workers from the surrounding
skyscrapers though. Great cold cuts piled high on fresh breads
at affordable prices make this a Cincinnati landmark.

there is an art to eating one of their sandwiches (because they
are soooo big). you have to start with small bites and work your
way to the middle. get your sandwich anyway you like.
