Davidson's, like many Youngstown area establishments, is a combination of bar and restaurant. The big rectangular bar dominates the room when you walk in, with tables and booths around the perimeter of the place. <br> Also like Y-town, food takes on a predominantly Italian flavor. My favorite item is the Italian sausage sandwich. Unlike most of the world, where Italian sausage is served up as a sausage link in a hot dog bun, Davidson's serves theirs as a thick patty, like a big hamburger, served on a kaiser bun. Add onions and green peppers sauteed in olive oil, and maybe some red sauce, and you've got a great, filling meal. You don't need anything else on the side.
