Food and Service is excellent. Although on the pricey side it is well
worth an evening out with your better half or with a group of friends.
Great atmosphere with several fireplaces in various rooms (upstairs
and downstairs). If you are looking for a more formal environment ask
for a table on the second floor where you will be seated in one of several
rooms with fine table linens. If you want something more casual with
a large hearth be sure to be seated on the first floor. Staff is very courtenous
and friendly.

HISTORIC SPREAD EAGLE TAVERN WAS AT ONE TIME AN UDERGROUND RAILROAD
FOR SLAVES ON THEIR WAY NORTH. IT IS NOW AN INN-RESTURANT WITH
VERY GOOD FOOD AND SERVICE, BUT THE PRICES ARE ON THE EXPENSIVE
SIDE.
