Great food! Can not say anything more...this is just a nice place to
sit and talk and of course..eat! The baked chicken is really quite delicious
and with the fresh vegetables, it is well worth driving downtown to
eat there. It is safe and well lighted. I have never seen a problem anywhere.
It is across from the PO and by the new Birmingham News. It is NOT fancy..but
clean and the staff is friendly. I have eaten every meal there on some
days and it stays good all the time. Try the HUGE HUGE HUGE Breakfast
if you have time! It is packed in the mornings..but worth the wait. My
family will chose Fife's over any restaurant anytime...yes,
even those on 280 where we live.

This has to be one of the best soul food resturants around. They
give you MORE than what you pay for. The service and food is excellent.
If you are ever in the downtown area in bham, I definitely recommend
Fife's. You won't regret it.

Fife's is a very good resturant if you like soul food. It has
just about everything you would want in a down south meal. The food
is okay and you can get in and out of there like that if you are on
your lunch. I didn't look at the rating though so I can't
tell you about that but overall it is pretty good.
