A real Chinese experience at the edge of Chiantown. A huge variety of excellent dim sim dishes in a gigantic restaurant, just like being in China.

This restaurant has really gone down in quality in the past several years. Not really worth your visit.

Because it is cavernous, you don't have to wait 30 minutes to get a table. But yes, be sure and get a table that is not in Siberia or you'll never get any food. Its nothing special, but between accessible parking in Portsmouth Square 2.5 block away and a solid, consistent quality (I have been going there since the late 80's) it has merits.

Dim Sum, = Had to wait 20 min. for service. Waitress was not attending to work but chatting with friends. Food was slow in coming and and on the cold side. Had to order other food three

times before it arrived. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

The general quality of the dim sum is good, though the variety and selection seems to be limited. They have the usual, expected steamed dumplings, pot stickers, and chinese broccoli, but the really interesting things are on the menu. Too bad, because we like to "graze" on a variety of things. The place is cavernous, so don't expect a lot of atmosphere. There are better places to be found both in China Town and in the Richmond.

dim sum can be crowded so definitely get there early as they don't take reservations. If you are trying to go there for dinner, avoid weekendss since most large wedding banquets and other banquets have reserved the restaurant for weekends. Like a previous reviewer wrote, definitely try to get a table next to one of the major walk ways, sitting in the back will cause you to miss out on some of the dim sum that is carted around.
