For over ten year now, everytime we are in the City we MUST eat at L'Entrecote. The food is outstanding, the atmosphere terrific, and the service exceptional. A must have is te beef with the entrecote sauce. For years now we have tried in vain to duplicate the sauce at home, We have even bribed the waiters for information but they really have no idea. You can now buy the sauce bottled at the resturant. Having been to Paris quite a few times we must say that the food here rivals some of the best resturants in Paris.

This is the best informal lunch spot to be had on Union St, if not throughout the city. The menu boasts many delicious dishes, the wait staff is friendly and attentive, and the owner is just a gem! Try the duck confit salad, you will be amazed at how it just melts in your mouth and how the cherries are the perfect complement!

One of the few great informal French restaurants! This restaurant has great food & great selections on food & wine, great value, friendly & welcoming atmosphere. We usually start off with 3-tier seafood platter, escargots with a bottle of wine from the wine list. We then order the New York Steak with authentic steak sauce which is so wonderful and steak tartar that is personally prepared by the owner. As for dessert, we love the warm chocolate soufflé with cup of cafe au lait. If you are a French food lover, you must try it. I haven't been able to find another French restaurant that has all the qualities.

If you cannot afford the tickets or have the time to fly to Paris and eat at Relais de l'Entrecote at 20 rue Saint-Benoit, this place will just have to do. The steak and sauce remind me of Paris, because that's where the inspiration (and chef) came from, it seems. A beautiful restaurant located in a nice buildign on Union Street, this place an sweep you away to Paris, if only for a few hours...

This has to be my all time favorite restaurant. The food is excellent, waiters are friendly, and a great atmosphere. My favorites from this restaurant starts out with Onion Soup and Escargots. The Onion Soup is so popular that sometimes they would sell out! For main course, the New York Steak with L'Entrecote Sauce is a winner. It comes with a butter lettuce salad with walnuts and unlimited, fresh, shoestring fries. Everytime they have cokked up a fresh batch of fries, a waiter will walk around the restaurant replenishing patrons with hot fries. And of course, dessert! I recommend the Profiteroles, little cream puffs fill with ice ceam with a chocolate sauce. No matter how full I get, I just got to have them! The atmosphere is just great. It's romantic, it's warm, it's welcoming, it's friendly, and it's alive. In the evenings, there is always live french music. It is a great place for romantic dinner for two or to catch up with old friends. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. Everyone who loves good food should go try it.
