My new boss took the staff here and it was great. The service was great, we had a party of 8 and we all arrived at a different time, the staff took care of us. The women in the group had salads and they were great. I had the lunch salmon and it was very tatsy. The only thing we didn't try was the desserts and the wine list.

Stax's Grill was once a favorite dinner spot for me and my wife. Little has changed but the "sticker shock" one gets when he see the menu's prices. What used to be a $60 dinner for two now tops out at $75-80. -Has success spoiled Charlie and the gang at Stax's Grill? We still enjoy this place, but not nearly so often.

I live an hour from Greenville, and I never hesitate to take the drive. Charlie (the owner) is always there and unlike other restaurants he works his butt off. There is no better way to keep your hand on the pulse of a restaurant than to get in there and work it yourself. Staff is superior, and food is awesome. My favorite is "What Charlie Eats", thats right its on the dinner menu. Beef tips and Shrimp with onions, potatos, and tomatoes in a Greek Style Mediteranian sauce. After all this talk I think I might go tonight.

One of our favorite restaurants. A dimly lit, elegant open grill restaurant/bar. When it is crowded, Stax's Grill can be a bit loud from all the dinner conversations. Some dishes are Greek, all are very good. My favorite is the roasted Greek Chicken. My wife enjoys the shrimp and the steaks. All meals start out with a loaf of their fresh, crusty bread. Their dinner salads are substantial and fresh. Stax's wine list is good and reasonable. The wait staff is very friendly and anticipates one's every wish. (Hmmm... Is 4 stars enough?)
