Johnny Rocket's is a great place to grab a quick hamburger and fries. They are pretty much like most fast food places, but a step above. I agree with most other posts here, I'd choose Mel's burgers and shakes over Johnny Rocket's any day, but if you are in the neighborhood it's a quick stop and it fills you up.

Great place for burger & fries! The food is good & people are nice. Prices are ok too. It is a little like Mel's, but not overall as good. They both have their own good qualities. Overall, a nice place to go for a good burger, fries & a shake!

I guess it's cheap for San Francisco, but I don't think Johnny Rockets was all that great. It is a good burger. We have it in Dallas, too, but I think you should eat seafood or something in San Fransisco. It was good, but not that good. The fries, expecially, were overpriced.

What a great burger and wonderful fries at a great price. One of favorite dining spots while visiting the Fisherman's Wharf area. The atmosphere is very authentic 50's style. Don't skip over this place.

I really enjoyed the food. It was as I was back in the 50's. The atmosphere was great.

Definetly has the fifties feel too it and that includes the grease drinched burgers. Not for timid. The chili chese fries will sink you, but they are delicious.

Not as good as mels, and a little bit "fake-fiftys" but still offers decent burgers and shakes. But go to Mels if that is what you are craving...

Yeah, I go here sometimes. Good old better than pure junk hamburger with the soft white bun. Greasy curly fries and a malt. It's the American way. A good spot to eat alone and pretty cheap. It beats Mac Donald's.

Messy but good basic burgers. Limited menu but interesting choices. Inexpensive, filling, clean and quick service. Good if you're in a hurry and on your own and need something good and quick.

These are the messiest, sloppiest, one of the best cheapo burgers avialable in the city. Don't miss the chili fries with cheese and onions, (don't forget to use a fork!), or the shakes! Mike says check it out!

Good burgers. Has that '50s feel to it like Mel's. Has a comfortable environment and reasonably priced food.
