I have been to this place a dozen times or so over the past 8 years
and have never been disappointed. I do have 2 complaints however-
1. They never take reservations. I have always felt they should
at least allow reservations on certain days or evenings of the
week because there's been at least 3 occasions where I really
wanted to bring someone here for a special occasion and the wait
was so incredibly ridiculous that we had to leave and be very very
disappointed at that. 2. They do not offer an adequate selection
of non-meat based crepes.
Other then that I have never had a crepe I didn't like here.
This is the only place I have had authentic French crepes in the
whole Bay Area. Once you have a crepe here you'll realize
that those other crepes you have had aren't in fact crepes
by any stretch of the imagination!
I am always shocked by how low th bill is as well which rarely happens!
Even w/ 2 savory crepes, one dessert crepe and at least 2 beverage ...

Crepes that are filling? Or filling in the crepes? Well, that's
for you to decide as you can have your crepe filled with virtually
whatever you want. There are dessert crepes or meal crepes and
all are good. You can watch them make the crepes fresh (and
with style, I might add). Salmon and carmelized onions is a
favorite of mine but if you can't decide, one of the wait staff
can surely help you. Friendly service (which can be a bit slow
during really busy periods - but not at a snail's pace). If
you
have a craving for crepes then this is a place for you. Always
crowded so get there early for lunch or dinner.

This is an excellent place for food. I know it's always busy and
good. They have cidre also which is nice to have with the crepes.

And you thought they only serve sweet crepes.
The first time I was invited to try this place, I was thinking it's
lunch time and we're having Crepe for lunch? To my surprise, this
place was absolutely exceeded my expectations. In this homey
French setting, I was able to enjoy a shrimp and scallop crepe
for lunch with my friend who had the shrimp and mushroom crepe.
Both very delicious I must say. To top it all off, you got to get
the Banana and Nutella crepe. Talk about a complete meal with
crepe. This is the place to go.

This is still one of the best restaurants in SF, if not the World!
Crepe's in the USA; both savory and sweet. And the salads are incredible!
My favorite dessert is the banana & Nutella crepe! Also, the French
Onion Soup is perfect...just like being in a small inn in the south
of France! Any combo of fillings for savory crepes is sublime!
Ham & Cheese, Sausage, Shrimp, it's all good. And this is one of
the first places on the West coast to have Pear cider on tap!

Very French and very relaxing - like sitting in an old creperie
on the outskirts of Paris. The crepes are very delicous with a
limitless selection of ingredents to put inside. I found that
they weren't as filling as the crepes I've had on the sidewalks
of Paris, but that's Americana for you. If you can, try waiting
for the big booth at the front window for some premere people watching.

The food is excellent. No one mentioned their salads. The pan-seared
tuna & scallops salad (i'm not sure what the exact name is) is very
very good. Of course, entree & dessert crepes are delicious, too. No
doubt about their food being great, but their service may not be
consistent. The waitresses I've had were friendly and quick, but my
sister had a bad experience when she had to wait for 40 minutes for
any food to appear on her table (after ordering, of course).

Can't add too much more to the above reviews, other than to
echo them, and recommend two crepes very highly: for savory, try
the mushroom (with mushroon sauce and perhaps even garlic
butter), and for sweet, the chestnut crepe with caramel (I've
also had this flambeed, which was good though sometimes the
liqueur is overpowering). Also, try the kir breton, a delicious
fruit cider, and the regular mochas, which are incredibly rich
and among the best in the city, in my opinion.

I went to this restaurant the first time about a year
ago, but I remembered the food so well, that I went back
last week. The food is excellent, and their clientele
are sometimes "interesting".
They use some kind of wheat for their savory crepes.
I had the savoury crepe with tomatoes, onions and mushrooms.
It was yummy.
The dessert crepe was the Chocolate with Nutella - the
chocolate with the hazelnut cream is to die for.
The dessert crepes kinda seemed to be made with something
akin to pancake batter.
I'm definitely going back there again. Its a bummer that
Sherwin had such a bad time with them. I'll remember
to check my credit card bill more carefully the next time.
