Finally got to go after living in the area a while. Known for its steaks so had to try it and was not disappointed. Service was not up to par perhaps especially for the price range. As noted, there is more than enough on the dinner plate to satisfy the hungriest diner.

Jimmy V's is a great restaurant. The atmosphere is casual. Service is excellent with very friendly staff. Management always comes to your table to make sure your service and meal is the way you like it. My wife and I dine there frequently, as well as many steakhouses in the area, including gourmet. They have the best steaks in the region and any food you order comes in decorative, sizeable portions. Prices are inexpensive for the quality of food. We often recommend it highly to others. They have had similar experiences. Bon appetit !

Great steaks, huge portion size....but..... and this is a BIG but..... <br> This place is WAY overpriced. Not just a little bit. A Whole Lot. The cost has not crept to near "angus barn" prices....but the service, atmosphere and food quality has not grown with the price......

love the staff and love the place! but they COULD reduce the portions AND the price! You canNOT finish a full meal at Jimmy's! But the quality of the food is beyond question! Limited menu, but every choice is a winner! Een the bar is comfortable and freindly.

The steaks are the best part of the fare at this restaurant. We went wanting to like this restaurant because of its history, being named after Jimmy V of NC State. It is a little over-rated, we think, because of this history.

Good steaks, great place! Very, very popular with the locals. Named after NC's basketball coach Jimmy V. who died of cancer in his prime. Lots of his memorbialia hanging from the rafters. Good time for the whole family.
