I really like Massawa, it was walking distance from home and when
anyone said: "I want something tasty and different tonight"
well it was an easy choice. Take some friends who like to talk and
eat with their hands

Pleasant but nothing more. The preparations are relatively
simple and the unhot dishes taste like Italian food. I would
prefer a fork, but none was offered.

It's not the ambiance that inspires my cravings for this place
but the delicious combination of spices for my palate and my nose.
It's a truly sensuous experience.
The family style presentation of the food is a joy to the eye -
one could almost call it a food tapestry. And as I've mentioned,
The aromas and tastes are delightful. Of course, the sense of
touch isn't excluded.
Eating the fermented spongy bread presented under the food which
soaks up the sauces from the dishes is also provided on the side
to scoop up the food in place of tableware (which is also
available). Finger-lickin' good. The honey wine is odd - not in
a bad way, and is definitely worth checking out.
It's a welcome oasis.

This is a great restaurant to go to with a group of people because
they can partition off a section of the restaurant with lattice which
makes your gathering more intimate. We had a group of 7 adults, and
we ordered 4 entrees and drinks, and we each only paid $10 for dinner!
We were really full too! The Mamba beer from Africa is definitely
worth trying. The zuchinni dish was a spicy but delicious entree.
I'll be going back there!

My boyfriend loves this place, but the food is a bit
spicy for me. If you like spicy food, go here! But
overall, I'd say the food is fun and definitely different,
as well as being quite good. Excellent place also if
you want something different.
