You know, the Lemont Restaurant has always been the top of the line when it came to fine dining in Pittsburgh. Now, except for the view, the restaurant is just average! The view, even though not as close, can be equaled from any of the other restaurants on Mt. Washington. My last visit there with my wife on our anniversary was just so-so. Even though I asked for a window seat in the main dining area, we were seated in the BAR AREA! Our food, just average. Absolutely shocking! What happened to a Pittsburgh landmark that had the elite in cusine and ambiance? I wish I knew. I can tell you one thing, I will never recommend the Lemont to anyone unless things change there. I was so looking forward to dining at the LeMont, but was so dissapointed with the food. Yes, the veiw is great, but I've seen it a thousand times from every venue imaginable - Feed Me !! My Roast Duck was so tough it was inedible, it could have walked away had it wanted. The service was OK, the decor beautiful - but the FOOD!!!

A great start to a birthday night turned into a mediocre ending at best - too bad.

Fantastic view, no doubt, but very average food. We spent a "Light-Up Night" (if you don't know what that is, you are not a Pittsburgh-er) at this restaurant, and I was sorry I gave up my reservations at Monterey Bay. Like I said, the view of Pittsburgh is fantastic. The decor is opulent. But the food was not up to par with the prices. A dining partner's "medium rare" swordfish was overcooked, and, when it was sent back to the kitchen, arrived uncooked. On another occasion, the classic Crepes Suzette was finished with cream -- a no-no. Don't play with French basics. I can't even remember what I ate on the several times I have been to this restaurant because I was so focused on the weirdness of the clientele. This restaurant is a favorite with the older (geriatric) set and the younger professional athletes. But it is not a favorite of mine. Save your money and try someplace else.

One of the Best restaurants in Pittsburgh. The food and the service are excellent. The view is spectacular. A very nice place for a romantic evening. I was lucky to be here here on a fireworks night and it was incredible. If you havent been here before or are traveling to Pittsburgh, this place is a must.

With the most gorgeous view of Pittsburgh, state of the art kitchens and certified chefs with the knowledge and expierience to use them, the LeMont is Pittsburgh finest. My highest recommendation and encouragement for all to visit and expierience fine dining at it's best.

LeMont was purchased by Ed Dunlap on June 1, 1999. It has been extensively remodeled, including a totally new, state of the art kitchen and HVAC equipment. The interior and exterior have been redecorated extensively and are beautiful. The view of Pittsburgh from Mt. Washington remains spectacular. Dunlap hired the chef, Bill Aschenbrenner, from Donald trump's Mar-A-Lago in Florida. This is a much improved LeMont!
