I recently ate Sunday brunch here and was underwhelmed with the experience.
My server seemed hung over/depressed and was not as readily available
as I would have liked. The food was good, but did not blow my mind.

I love the building this restaurant is in. It's in a gorgeous brownstone
in University City. The people who run this place are really cool and
deep into social activism, charities, all the stuff to help mankind.
The foods they serve are very earth friendly. They have the most out
of this world guacomole! The beef & black bean chili is yummy, too.

White Dog is a little pricey but the food is good. The menu has lots
of variety. It is located on UPenn's campus so there will
likely be lots of coeds and their parents. The restaurant is very
nice and the service is good. If you are in the area, you should
try it.

Definate college hang out. The food is good, and setting is unique,
but a little spendy. The service was top knotch and everyone was
very friendly, but still questioning it if it was worth the money....

Great food! I love to go here for a great meal and drink. It's
near a lot of different areas that will entertain you after your
meal. I've never had anything less than a super time here.

Well, White Dog must have raised prices in the last year. That
said, it is definitely worth the money ($20-$26 per entree).
The quality of the ingredients really shone through. Its clear
WD only uses the freshest and the best. My sea bass was perfectly
cooked and the yukon gold mashed potatoes and fennel/onion garnish
was wonderful. Friend #1 had the wild mushroom risotto and Friend
#2 had a free range chicken dish and he was very, very happy. We
didn't have time for appetizers, but did manage some of their
wonderful chocolate cake for dessert. The dining room(s) are
charming - a warren of conjoined rooms, makes you feel like you
are eating at a eccentric Aunt's home. Definitely "must
do" if you are visiting in the U of Penn or Drexel area.

Never a dissappointment at the white dog. you might be slightly
taken aback upon walking in, because you enter through the bar,
which is open for lunch. the main gem, however is the dining room
in back. daring receipes and exquisitely done at that! you get
the full treatment at the white dog in university city, from genuinely
fantastic service to the food presentation itself! also a very
adequate wine list and full liquor license. my personal fav's
are the roasted red pepper soup, and i never dine at the white dog
without having their incredible creme brulee!
