The fixed price menu is a bargain in San Francisco or any other
city in the area. All the entries are wonderful and well presented.
They have a large wine selection. Service is very good and prompt.
This is a great place to go for French food.

Fixed price. four-course dinners are now $28.50. Wow, what a
bargan for San Francisco diners. Restaurant Jeanne d'Arc is
downstairs (reached by either the stairs or a wonderful antique
elevator) and is a very pleasant surprise, both visually and
food-wise. We dined with a rather larger group (12 of us) and the
kitchen performed without a hitch. Highly recommended!

This time I went, the four course prix fix dinner is $24.50,
but well worth it. Menu changes daily. For this particular
day that I went, the salad was crab stuffed avacado.
Excellent service and food presentation.

We ate in this restaraunt daily while we were guests at the attached
Hotel Cornell as a package with our room. Prix Fixe dinners are
$22.50 and include soup, salad, choice of entree, and a choice of two
deserts of the day. The soups are good, light, typically french cream
soups. The salads are really wonderful, ultra fresh mesclun with a
just-right vinagrette, made special with shrimp, goat cheese, or other
nice garnish. Entrees are country French style, and include lamb,
rabbit, seafood and beef selections. The confit of duck was superb!
Deserts, too, are excellent, rum chocolate mousse, crepes, almond cake
and the like, very nicely presented with excellent cups of french
roast coffee. The atmosphere is medieval french, intimate, and
romantic. A very good bargain in this very expensive dining city!
