"Wow" to the last review, don't let them scare you away..i
was just there, ,what an unforgettable time i had. the hostess was very pleasant and courteous, my waitress couldn't
have been more on top of everything the entire time. Started out with shrip coctail, followed by Beer Bread( which they
make there, out of this world)..followed a fresh salad..then the
main meal, ,the most delicious, tender, cooked to my perfection
Filet Mignon i ever had. Desert? no room this time, ,but i will make a point of it next time( which
i already have booked) the atmosphere was so warm and relaxed, they did a marvelous job. see ya soon...

The Village Tavern was truly disappointing for us. We made reservations
for a Saturday night while on vacation. Aside of the overwhelming
smell of peroxide upon walking in the restaurant, the entrees
took the wait staff over 2 hours to bring to us -a table of 2! The
table next to us sent their food back (for being undercooked)
and was served / ate their entree TWICE before ours even came.
When we approached the staff they brushed us off and said it was
coming; the manager walked away from me in mid sentence, mumbling
something under her breath. When the food did finally arrive
it was wrong - brutally undercooked and with the wrong sides.
They credited our wine ($17.00) for the disastrous experience.
Normally I would think it was just an off-night, but the manager
was pushy, impatient, and rude when customers approached her
about their problem. The waitress then proceeded to ask the woman
next to us if she had been drinking wine all day since she was unhappy
with ...

This is a great restaurant with one of the best wine bars in the
Fingerlakes region. They even have a nitrogeon system to keep
their wine at its best. I highly recomend this to anyone in the
area. The food is excellent and the staff does the best job. Alot
of pride goes into everything at the tavern.

This is a great little restaurant to goto right in hammondsport.
The food is excellent and they have many, many different types
of beer on tap.It is also right near all of the wine trails.

I've only had their beer. Their prices are resaonable, and the
service is friendly. It's a nice little bar to go and relax and
shoot darts. It's not a huge bar though
