This is a great place to come for great homestyle comfort food. Their hamburgers are wonderful and their special shepherd's pie was a big hit at our table. We had no room for dessert. I had a house salad as an appetizer and it was bigger than most restaurants' dinner servings! Everything was fresh and delicious just like Mom makes. The atmosphere was great also. The bar in the front is an awesome place to sit, relax and have a beer or two. No attitudes here!

You might have to wait on line to eat at Bubby's. You might get squeezed into a table perilously close to another couple. And you might have to talk very loud to hear your companion speak. But your level of discomfort will immediately subside as soon as you begin to consume Bubby's comfort food. Whether it is the slow-cooked pulled barbecue pork, the magnificent, lighter-than-air meatloaf, or the buttermilk fried half chicken, coupled with sides like collard greens, sautéed spinach, macaroni and cheese, and baked beans, Bubby's dishes define comfort. Take Bubby's advice and save room for the desserts, especially the homemade pies; one taste of the chocolate peanut-butter pie immediately brought on happy childhood flashbacks. Breakfast is big here and lasts well into the middle of the day. On weekends, though, here in trendy TriBeCa, the wait for brunch can be very lengthy. Celebrities need comfort too and you might spot one or two at Bubby's seeking anonymity and down-home chow. And now Bubby's has opened a branch across the river in the DUMBO neighborhood of Brooklyn.

Everything a restaraunt should be. You see....sawdust on the

floor does not make this place un clean, it makes it creative with its enviroment. Excellent choices on your decor. Food is awesome!! You wont forget that you ever ate here. And yes, this is something to write home to mamma about.

The location is kind of out of the way... but the food is excellent.

It's not too big, it's comfy, and you feel like they really

are caring for you there. I especially like the Oreo Cheese Cake.

Famous for its pies, this TriBeCa eatery is at once a romantic place and a family spot. The fare is quite good, though uninspired. On the other hand, the margaritas are out of this world! Try the desserts, too!
