One of the best italian delis in all the area and one of the best in the sf bay area. They have many choices of different rolls, fresh lunch meats/roast beefs and cheese/ crab and other specials. Top notch bread can be ordered ahead of time..but the best is the garlic/oil that they spread on the sandwich.

It had been years since I've been here. Pulled up with my kids, the place looked like it was ready to fall down. Still operating & the sandwiches were better than ever & loaded with meat. We love that Little Luca

Well what can I say, they have been there for a very long time and the food is top notch but the wait is ALWAYS long, it is hot as heck in there, the place is tiny and thats about it. If you in South San Francisco and you want a good lunch go here ... if you want a better lunch, visit Darby Dan's and get a sandwhich they call the "sleeper" (or anything else they have is good also).

I had to drop this one from a "used-to-be" 4 stars to a 3 star rating. Little Lucca's indeed has some great tradition, but here is a few non-South City-myopian thoughts I have after my last 5 or 6 times going there: * the wait is helacious. even when only a handful of people are there. there is no excuse for some of the wait times, if ANYONE contests that, I invite you to check out any of the Lee's Deli's in San Francisco, where being 30th inline amounts to a 3 minute wait MAXIMUM. * it appears a major draw to their sandwiches is their garlic spread. problem is they really pack it on now, most of the time it severely overpowers the sandwich, so take caution when ordering this mayonaise infested spread. * the portions have definitely gotten smaller over the years. All in all, it is still a great place. But I don't think it is THE place to send people/recommend anymore. You can get just as good a sandwich at Roy's on Old Mission, Safeway, or even better Lunardi's in Sa ... more

This is a local "institution". One of those places I take "out of towners" to eat a quick lunch. GREAT food at GREAT prices. Watch out! Lunch time is brutal in this tiny place.
