I think this is the best diner in the Toms River area...good food, good
service and great deserts. The pricing may be a little steeper than
most diners. Last week 3 sandwiches and a salad $65

This year (2006) Crystal Diner had a grand opening of its new structure,
(same location) which resembles the traditional bullet diners of
the 1950/1960's.
However the interior decoration and overall ambiance is more appealing
than the traditional "looks" associated with that particular
"architecture".
Their menu is vastly improved from the one many of the Toms River residents
were used to, and in a very good way.
My only reservation with the new and improved Crystal Diner is with
the seemingly steep pricing their new menu tags on typical food items;
our lunch (for 2 adults and 2 children) had a final cost of $62.00, not
including tip; keep in mind that there was only one side order, 2 children's
meals, 2 adult salads and 4 bottled waters.... hmmm seems pretty steep
to me;
In conclusion, kudos to the owners for improving the new structure...
bad on the pricing!!!
