Clean, quaint all nestled in the woods, but almost impossible
to find at night if you don't know the area.
Waitstaff was your average "it's just a job"
quality, and very apathetic to complaints.
It was a slow night, very few customers as it is now off season.
We were a larger party of about 20. You would think 2 waitresses
could manage us.
Nice little loaves of warm bread were a treat.
The baked potatoes came out cold and hard. Certainly they were
not fresh baked as dinner had just begun.
The family style veggies were cold too.
The second cup of coffee, which took 20 minutes and a second request
to get, was also cold.
The calamari is pre-breaded and frozen. The N.E. Clam Chowder
tastes as though it came from a can OR was made with non-dairy creamer. The white clam sauce seemed to be made with the same base as the
chowder. Although I have been told it is done, I have never seen
clam sauce with cream in it-not in RI. Not even Progresso canned
does that!
Some of the other menu items, such as short ribs and pot pie, were
better received.
This is like nursing home food...
No handicapped restrooms, Credit cards and reservations accepted,
separate room for bar area with TV.
With all the excellent restaurants in RI and bordering Mass.,
I will not be visiting this place ever again.
