OK, OK, I know it's unusual for a diner to get five stars from a reviewer. Actually the rating is based entirely on the food. What can one say about the atmosphere? It's a diner after all. The neighborhood had deteriorated in recent years, but is coming back together at a rapid pace. The food, however, has gotten even better over the years. The owner (Len Peliotis), the Chef (Joe Oanokye) and the Managers (Norbert Sadlowski and Mohamoud Said) bring together just enough diversity and experience to make the East Orange Diner a unique culinary experience. The usual diner fare, of course, but enhanced by such varied fare as beef or chicken fajitas, stir fried beef, chicken or vegetables, southern style smothered steak, chicken or pork chops.
