I'M COMING FOR A TRIP TO CORPUS IN TWO MONTHS AND I WAS THRILLED TO
FIND OUT THAT ELMOS WAS STILL AROUND.
THROUGH MY TEEN YEARS MY FAMILY AND I WENT AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH
AND IT WAS TRULY MEMORIBLE.
NOW WHEN MY OWN FAMILY COMES TO VISIT CORPUS
WE WILL STOP TO EAT THERE
CAN'T WAIT TO GET SOME STUFFED MUSHROOMS!

Not bad if you are staying in the downtown hotels and watching
your budget. Has kind of a leftover Art Deco/Diner atmosphere.
Could be updated to a rather pleasant eatery. The raw oysters
during the happy hour were excellent.

This was once a FANTASTIC eatery, when Elmo Jackson ran it -- now
it is just another steak and seafood clone restaurant with no
redeeming/overwhelming qualities. The atmosphere is run down
since the new owners didn't remodel or remove the WB Ray HS memorabilia
from the walls and the pictures were all nasty and dusty last month
when we went in to eat. The days of the gorgeous buttery cloverleaf
rolls are over... I won't return to this place!
